There are a lot of stories tied up in this wedding. First, is the story of how Sarah and I met. Charlie and I were flying to South Lake Tahoe for the weekend without the kids (woo hoo!) and in true Montes fashion, we didn’t get seated next to each other, but across the aisle. I was (as an introvert) a little nervous about who would sit next to me but was relieved when this cute, young blonde woman sat down and we immediately started chatting. When I told her I was a wedding photographer she let me know that she was anxiously waiting for her boyfriend to propose. We ended up talking the entire flight (I’m pretty sure I told her both of my birth stories, sorry Sarah) and exchanged numbers when we departed. A few months later, she excitedly texted me when her Jeff proposed and I was so delighted when she asked me to shoot their wedding!
Now for a not as great story… The morning of their wedding I woke up with a stomach bug. My kids had it the previous week and it was not good. I tried my best to shoot as much of the wedding as I could, but once I started throwing up, there was no recovering! It was a wedding photographers worst nightmare. Thankfully, I had my amazing second photographer, Lindsey Dalthorp, with me. All of the photos that you see from the ceremony onward are all hers!

Your editing is amazing Sara.
I really enjoyed going through these and remembering the day! I’m sure it’s not as much fun for you unfortunately… :/
Thank you for such a wonderful day and I look forward to whenever we get to work together again 🙂
