There’s a lot I could say about Chris and Brooke and their joy-filled wedding a few weeks ago. These two know how to make an impression on people. They are thoughtful, constantly thinking about loving and serving others (even their photographer!), and enjoy every moment. When we shot their engagement photos last fall, they asked how they could be praying for me during that season, and I was so blessed by that. When Charlie and I arrived to their wedding, the first thing they did was hand me a gift – a children’s story book Bible for our kids and adorable llama socks for us! These are just two small examples of how selfless Chris and Brooke really are. They make everyone feel like family.
But back to their wedding… I’m so glad they chose the gorgeous Marionfield Farm for their venue. We had the pleasure of shooting their last summer and fell in love. The Snohomish farm is very removed and you feel as if you could hang out there all weekend. The rich greenery of the farm complimented the navy and crimson colors the couple chose, along with the white flowers everywhere! They chose to pray together before the ceremony with a privacy screen separating them so they could leave the first look for the aisle, boy was that emotional! They also chose to do something a little different by planting a tree as a symbol of their unity, using soil from both of their hometowns, I loved that personal touch. They kept their guests laughing and entertained during the reception by playing lots of games like Mad Libs and trivia. All in all, it was a beautiful, fun, joy-filled celebration, which is what they told me they wanted. Congratulations you two!
