Kid in a candy store. That’s how I felt when I arrived at Thornewood Castle on Ben and Nieka’s wedding day. The grounds, stunning. The castle, breathtaking. And every last detail that the two of them hand picked, from the victorian style dress to the hand-made caramel favors, gorgeous. But the classy, elegant details of this wedding could not outshine the tender love between these two. They opted to not see each other until the ceremony, and the anticipation was tangible. Their ceremony and reception were filled with plenty of tears, laughter, and celebration as their families spoke kind words over them (there was not a dry eye in the house during the groom’s toast). And Ben and Nieka got to show all their closest friends and family that the two of them would take on marriage as a humble, unified team when they performed their first dance as a choreographed number. I was so overjoyed to be apart of this day and Charlie and I left feeling like we were on cloud nine.
