When we got to Rein Fire Ranch around 10am it was already sweltering and smoke filled the skies. The venue owners were working hard to make sure everything was well watered and looking lush and green, and they did an amazing job – it immediately felt like we had stepped into a garden. As the girls cooled down by the AC and the guys played foosball, we found a shady spot in the woods for their first look, and we knew it would be perfect for this adventurous, outdoorsy couple.
Soon Kerri was ready to get into her dress and go meet her groom, and there were fireworks when she finally did. It was so hot in the midday to shoot for long, but their chemistry allowed us to move through their portraits quickly.
This elegant wedding at Rein Fire Ranch was one of the most gorgeous garden style weddings I have ever had the pleasure of photographing. The venue was lush with various types of trees and flowers, and the wooded mountains surrounded us to give the whole day a secluded and intimate vibe.
I’m sure they never expected their wedding to be on the hottest day of the year nor that the skies would be filled with smoke from the wildfires in British Columbia. Nonetheless, these two were filled with nothing but joy and excitement.
